I am Jordan Khatri, or Lakee Jordan. I am a photographer and musician from Houston, Texas.

My art is heavily inspired by the genre of shoegaze and ambient music. Everything from the textures I put into my music, to the traces of light I capture in my photography. Shoegaze has been an integral part of my evolution as an artist. I first listened to shoegaze as a freshman in high school. It was 3 am, and I had just gotten my heart broken. I was listening to music on spotify and stumbled upon a playlist called dreamy and hazey. I was instantly hooked. And I have been trying to capture that feeling in my music and in my photography ever since

Aside from shoegaze, my art is also inspired by dreams, death, time. These concepts I find extremely interesting and incredibly beautiful. I want to leave something for myself 10 years from now that will remind me of the fragility and beauty of life.
