Welcome to Pinkomma

Welcome to Pinkomma, a digital journal designed to make you feel like you are walking through an art museum. You are probably wondering what “Pinkomma” means, and I am sorry to say that it does not have any significant meaning. One day I was in my car driving back from work and I found a random song by this band called “Boycomma” and I thought that adding something in front of comma was a funny concept and I wanted to try it myself. I came up with “Girlcomma”, “Carcomma”, “Watercomma”, but none of these really stuck. Eventually, I started saying colors and I landed on an interesting combination, “Pinkcomma”, and I thought, “Hey, that’s a weird sounding word, how can I make it even weirder”, and of course, I took out the “c” from “comma” and I got “Pinkomma”. I thought that it would be a cool name for a shoegaze band, maybe a shoegaze band of my own one day. But as I started the process of creating this website, I didn’t want to use my legal name as a title, nor did I want to use my stage name. So I reached into my back pocket, dusted off this Pinkomma thing and I ended up liking the name. Pinkomma, to me, sounds like a space for creativity and self-expression. That is the core principle of this website. Or what I like to call a “digital journal” because that’s what this is going to be! I am going to share all my cool photos, my beautiful soundtracks, and my writings, which is something I have been wanting to improve on for a long time. There are no rules to using this digital journal, but my recommended path is something like this: Go to the Fugue page (naming the music page Fugue is actually a double entendre. Look up the meaning of the word, it’s kind of cool), play a song, then head over to Grains to look through some photos. I think doing it this way will really immerse you into that museum vibe. Regardless of how you walk through this website, I am glad you are here. Everything was carefully curated to provide the best possible experience for myself and others. I have so many things I want to add in the future, and I am so excited to continue sharing all my crazy ideas. Thank you again and see you soon!
